• Spinal Stenosis, a narrowing of the central spinal canal. Sciatica pain is worse by standing upright, walking and relieved by leaning forward and is largely felt in the buttocks.

• Spondylolisthesis, the slippage of one vertebra over another, that narrows the space through which the nerves exit

• Spinal Osteoarthritis, affecting the space where nerves exit from between each vertebra

• Tumours (less common among causes of Sciatica)
